New dealers for north-east Scotland debut at local shows

Two independent agricultural engineers hope that taking on a tractor franchise for the first time will give a significant boost to their businesses.Mark Wood at Premnay near Insch and Brian Smith at Cornhill, Banff, have been appointed to the McCormick tractor dealership network by GB distributor AgriArgo UK.
They are launching their new ventures by taking a joint stand at the Turriff Show on August 4/5; and at the Keith Country Show on August 11/12.
“It’s exciting but also a bit daunting,” admits Brian Smith. “I’ll be on a steep learning curve when it comes to sales but the McCormick range has a lot to offer.”
Mark Wood sees the appointment as a great opportunity to develop the business he started just five years ago: “It needed a bit of direction and focus, and becoming a McCormick dealer is certainly providing that,” he says.
“We’re improving our premises and expanding our parts stock – and looking forward to making our first delivery of a new McCormick tractor to a customer,” he adds.
